Can I buy ebooks off of amazon and put them on a sony ereader?

I currently have the Kindle app on my ipod touch, but I’m thinking about getting a Sony ereader. I have a few books for the Kindle app and I was wondering if I could put them on an ereader?

No, sorry. Amazon protect their books with DRM, so their ebooks can not be read on other ereaders.
