Barnes And Noble Nook deals

Stains on the back of my cache?

I bought a corner of Barnes and Noble for a long time and has a black neoprene sleeve for him. For Usually I bring with me, the manga, in my backpack, on the campus of something to read while I wait for my next class. I week or so ago who was caught in rain. My backpack got wet as well as the neoprene. My corner is fine, but in the back are black / purple spots where the dye takes the filtering neoprene wet. Not a big deal, but any idea how to remove them? Everything I've tried so far is a wet paper towel and I have not seen any improvement.

I read an eHow about this some time ago. It can help you arrange your Nook. Check: http://www.ehow.com/how_6388427_remove-ink-electronic-devices.html

Best-seller-online.com | Kindle wireless reading device

title = "The best seller of the online store"> Bestseller-online.com | Kindle wireless reading device

If you are trying to choose between a corner and a Kindle, maybe I can help. My wife and I have a corner property (the original, not the new color of Rincon), a Kindle 2, Kindle and DX. When Amazon announced the Kindle 3 this summer, pre-ordered two Kindle 3: the only wi-fi model graphite model wi-fi + 3G in white. They arrived in late August and we have used regularly since then. For us, the Kindle is better than Nook but Rincon is a good device with its own advantages which I shall refer later. I will end this review with a word about the color of Nook.

First Instead, why they prefer the Kindle:

* Speed

In our experience, the Kindle is very strong compared to the Nook. speed load the page (the time it takes for a new page that appears after pressing the button on the back page) was the fastest in the Kindle 2 Nook, and is faster even in Kindle 3. However, I read a whole book on the corners and did not find the Update page slow to be annoying – Get used to it, and is not a problem.

For me, the most important difference concerns the speed of navigation – move the cursor around the screen, perhaps to pick a book from your library, or jump to a chapter by selecting from the table of contents. The Kindle, this is done by pressing a 5-way rocker button, and the cursor moves very quickly. The Corner, it does so by activating the color LCD touch screen (I normally turn off when not in use, for save battery power). A "virtual rocker" appears on the screen and touch pad to move the cursor. Unfortunately, the cursor moves very slow corner. This can not be a big deal to you, but it really bothers me, especially because the Kindle for my wife was so quick and responsive.

In November 2010, Rincon is a software update that increases the speed of updating the page and makes navigation more sensitive. For months I returned to my Nook, so I can not tell if the performance of Rincon is now equal to that of the Kindle, but the owners of Rincon in the comments section have convinced me that the software update improving the experience of using the Nook. If performance is an important factor in their decision to visit a Best Buy and compare Kindle and the corner side by side.

* Contrast Screen

You've seen claims that the Amazon Kindle e-ink 3 is a contrast to 50% better than the Kindle 2 and other electronic ink devices. I have no way to accurately measure the contrast enhancement, but I can say that the Kindle 3 definitely has more contrast screen that the Kindle 2 or Nook. The difference is remarkable and importantly, the screen contrast means less eyestrain when reading poorly lit rooms.

In well lit rooms, the Nook and the Kindle 2 have sufficient contrast to allow for comfortable reading. But often read in low light, like in bed at night, or in a dimly lit room. In these situations, reading corner or Kindle 2 was a little uncomfortable and often gave me a slight headache. When I got the Kindle 3, the extra contrast was immediately apparent, and made it comfortable to read light conditions less than ideal. (If you go to a corner, just make sure you have a good reading lamp near.)

* Battery

The color of the corner of the LCD touch screen drain your battery quickly – I could never get more 5 days of office. The Kindle 2 had a greater battery life than the Nook, and Kindle 3 have even longer life: in the 3 months since we got our Kindle 3, which typically get 3 weeks of battery life between charges. (We half wireless to save battery time.)

* Weight

Corner weighs about 3 ounces more than the new Kindle, and you can really feel the difference. Without a case, Rincon is still light enough to hold in one hand for long reading sessions without fatigue. But in one case, heavy Nook is a fool. The new Kindle 3 is so light, even in a case, they are comfortable holding in one hand for long reading sessions.

The reasons that some people might prefer the Nook:

* Experience in stores

If you need help with your corner, you can take to any Barnes and Noble and get a real human being to help. You can take your spot in the cafeteria section of your store local B & N and read any book for free for up to one hour per day. When you take your corner at B & N, some in-store specials and free book occasionally appear on screen.

* User replaceable battery

Rechargeable batteries eventually lose their ability to hold a charge. Corner of the battery is user replaceable and relatively inexpensive. To replace the battery in the Kindle, Amazon wants to send the Amazon Kindle, and will be sent back Kindle different from one sent to him (the same model, for example, sending a Kindle White 3, White gets a Kindle 3 again, but you get a "refurbished" one, not exactly what you sent). I do not like at all.

However, several people have posted comments here have eased my concerns. Someone looked up statistics on Kindle battery and some simple calculations to show that should last three years or more. Before that happens, certainly has been upgraded to a new Kindle model then. Also, someone found some companies that sell batteries Kindle at a reasonable price and has the how-to videos that show how you can replace the battery yourself. Doing so will void the Kindle, but the battery will probably not long after the expiry of the warranty.

* EPub

Rincón using ePub format, a format widely used open. Amazon uses a proprietary ebook format. Many libraries are "lending" electronic books in the ePub format, which works with corner, but will not start. However, a free and reputable called Calibre ebook allows you to translate from one format to another – is compatible with many formats, including ePub and the Kindle. The only drawback is that it does not work e-books copy-protected, so they can not, for example, buying a Kindle book (which is copy protected) and translates it into ePub so you can read in a corner.

* EBook Loans to friends

Rincon homeowners can "loan" e-books purchased from other owners corner up to two weeks. Can not do that with Kindle – yet. Amazon has announced it will soon add this feature to turn on loan to all (through A software update will be available for people who already own lights).

* The color LCD touch screen Nook

This could be a favor or against, depending on your preferences. More than a fashion corner and less monotonous than light. Some people enjoy using the color LCD to view your collection or browse. I did, at first. But after two weeks of use, and comparisons with my wife on, I met the most dedicated buttons of the Kindle easier and much faster to use than color touch screen corner. I also found the bright light of the color display was distracting when trying to read a book or newspaper (even when not in use, turn off after a minute or so to save battery.)

* Expandable capacity

Corner comes with 2 GB of internal memory. If you need more capacity, you can insert a microSD card to add up to 16 GB more of memory. Kindle comes with 4 GB of internal memory – double the Nook – but no way to expand it. Kindle does not accept memory cards of any kind. If all you use your device for reading electronic books and newspapers, this should not be a problem. I have over 100 books on my Kindle, and I used only a small fraction of the memory. Once the memory Kindle gets full, just remove the books that do not need immediate access to, you can always restore it later, in seconds, for free.

Some notes some Others:

Corner Kindle and have other features, such as an MP3 player and a web browser, but they warn that the low expectations of these characteristics. The MP3 player on the Kindle is like the first generation iPod shuffle – you can not see what song is playing, and can not move to other songs on your device. I do not like the browser on any device, electronic ink is not only good technology to surf the web, is slower and clunkier than the technology LCD, so even the Android phone browser or iPod touch is more pleasant to use. However, some commentators have more views favorable browser or device, and can, too.

* Support PDF

Corner Kindle and handling both PDF files, but in different ways. When you put a PDF file in your corner, corner becomes an electronic book-like file, then you can adjust the font size, and text and pagination be adjusted as with any e-book. But you can not see the original PDF file in the native format in which it was created. Turn 3 and DX Kindle natively supports for PDF files. You can see PDF files as it would appear on the computer. You can also convert PDF files to an e-book format-like, and then manages Kindle as handled by the Nook – text and page changes when you change the font size. Unfortunately, some symbols, equations and graphs are lost or maimed in the translation – even when viewing PDF files in their original format on the Kindle. Moreover, the small size of the Kindle screen 3 and Corner is not very large PDF files, most of which are designed for a larger size. You can zoom and pan, but this is cumbersome and heavy. Thanks to the commentators who suggested the display of PDF files in landscape mode on the Kindle (I do not know if this can be done in corner), thus You can see the entire top of the page with no picture, then move to the lower half. This works a little better.
