Charger light on my nook isn’t on?!?

OK so I’m charging my Barnes and Noble nook. I plugged the charger into the outlet, and no light turns on. I tried to wake it up but it won’t wake. I have the first version nook if that helps. Why isn’t the light on?

I’ve some college textbooks on my Kindle. It really saved me from carrying some heavy weighted textbooks. Another thing is that textbooks on the Kindle are much cheaper than textbooks in paper version, so it saved me money too. You’ll not be able to find all textbooks you want in Kindle version right now, but I know since the Kindle DX is out there will be more and more textbooks coming out in the Kindle store (as Amazon signed contract with main textbook publishers).

The best thing is that it can hold all my favorite books in a single handy device. I can use it for reading everywhere; I can even have it read to me when my eyes and hands are tired. And I can have dictionary lookup, annotation, highlight, bookmark, etc., all done in one device. It is really convenient and improved my efficiency a lot.

Both the Kindle 2 and the Kindle DX are good in my opinion. If you don’t need to read textbooks or PDF files then Kindle 2 should be enough. But since you will use it for reading textbooks and handling PDFs, Kindle DX will be much better.

Barnes & Noble NOOK eReader – 3G/Edge question?

Hello,

could you tell me if the free 3G or EDGE is working in Europe as well and if I could you it for minimal browsing as well (mailing, news, weather forecasts etc etc)

Hi, Anita, Nook Simple Touch is a Wi-Fi-only device but there’s no point in getting 3G Kindle now as they limit what web sites you can access (only Amazon store and Wikipedia are allowed.)
