What ereader should I get?

I’m looking at e-readers and I’ve narrowed it down to Sony vs. Amazon. I like Sony’s newest e-reader in almost every way over the kindle touch, but the I find Sony’s store to be lacking. Also is there any good and cheap e-readers with a backlight? I just realized that I usually read at night and never find myself trying to read at the beach or pool in the sunlight.
